Cars For Christmas

Cars are often given as gifts. How do you know that you are buying the right car for the right person? Is it just a Christmas Gift, or will it last the year?

Giving expensive gifts can be a show of affection, gratefully appreciated by the recipient and stressed over by the giver. Imagine the pain of buying a car for someone and upon receipt, they are disappointed that it is not the right car, colour, make or model. How do you know what is right and what they will love?

Just like giving any gift, research and effort must go into the decision. If you are lucky enough to afford a new car and to give it to your partner for Christmas, be sure that it is the right one.

When giving such a gift, you should take time to understand what they like, what they want and what they need. Be sure to get the colour right and the tech inside working just like that want it. There is so much choice available for cars that our team at Match Me could never begin to guess the right car for your partner. We would ask you to consider the following points:

Why do you want a car?

If you are buying a car for a first time driver, be sure to buy one that is safe, cheap to insure and will be trendy enough so their friends will not bully them.  Buying a car for someone who has a job means it needs to be practical. What roads will they be driving on? B-roads need different cars to Motorway drivers. What is the main purpose of the car, and buy a car to match.

Who will be driving the car?

There are some cars that suit some people, and some cars that do not. If the person is tall, do not get a small car with no head room. The driver could be environmentally conscious, do not get a car that will drink petrol. What if the driver is young? Do not get a car that requires experience to drive and will be hard to insure. Think of matching the car to the person.

What Specs do they like?

Some people listen to bass enhanced music like they are at a rave in their car, and others like to listen to easy radio music and chatter. Some people like to link their phone to their car. People who like to have modern technology fitted into their car, will need a system that can do that. Some people like cars with extra safety features. What do they like in the car and find a car to match.

If you have suddenly realised that buying a car might be fraught with danger and bad choices, you can go for accessories. Car Gifts do not need to be expensive. You can look at driving gloves, a new radio, or clothing to match the car that they have. You can consider the merchandise of the cars that they dream of. Instead of buying a new ferrari, a branded jacket might do the job, until they can afford the car themselves.

Whatever the gift for the car loving person in your life,  make the right choice, so that the car if for life, and not just for Christmas
